Dr. William F. Waggoner DDS., MS.
Dr. William F. Waggoner DDS., MS. – Dr. Waggoner is the founder, and owner of Pediatric Dental Care Associates of Las Vegas, and Kids Dental Safari. He has been a pediatric dentist for nearly 35 years. He now practices part-time at the Summerlin location, to give him more time to pursue teaching and speaking opportunities.
Dr. Waggoner has been in practice in Las Vegas since 1996. He graduated from the West Virginia University College of Dentistry in 1980 and completed his Master of Science degree in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Iowa in 1982. From 1982-1986, Dr. Waggoner held a full-time academic appointment at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. From 1986-1995, he was Associate Professor of Pediatric Dentistry and Director of the Children’s Dental Clinic at the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Dr. Waggoner has numerous research publications in peer-reviewed dental journals and is the author of a chapter in a popular pediatric dental textbook. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American College of Dentists. Dr. Waggoner is a frequent seminar speaker on the subject of dentistry for children, and he has given dental presentations in over 30 states and 12 countries. He is a founding director of the Institute of Pediatric Dentistry, an educational entity that helps train and equip new general and pediatric dentists in treating children more effectively. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Nevada Dental Association, and is a past president of the Nevada Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Waggoner has been married for over 38 years to his wife, Linda Ann, a Marriage and Family Therapist. They have four children, Dr. Tesha Waggoner, a dentist currently in pediatric specialty training: Luke, a 3rd year Medical student, Grant, a Marriage and Family Therapist; and Clark, a technician for Apple. His spare time is devoted to visiting his family, reading and travelling.
He feels blessed to have recruited so many fine pediatric dentists and staff to work with, and to have the opportunity to serve the children of Las Vegas for so many years.
Dr. Jon P. Galea D.D.S.
Dr. Jon Galea graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1989.
He then joined the United States Public Health Service division of Indian Health Service (IHS). He provided dental services to the Navajo, Hopi and Mohawk Indian tribes in Arizona and New York until May of 2000. Dr. Galea received several citations and awards for his service while in IHS.
He then entered into pediatric dental residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. in July 2000 and obtained his certificate in the specialty of Pediatric Dentistry in July 2002. He served as chief resident during his second year of training. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Nevada Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He has been with PDCA since September 2002 and has also worked with the Supai Indian tribe within the Grand Canyon over the last several years when needed.
Dr. Galea enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His interests include running, triathlons, cross country skiing and travel.
Doribeth Ruiz DMD
Dr. Doribeth Ruiz is a native of Puerto Rico – born and raised in Isabela, Puerto Rico. She completed her dental education at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus School of Dental Medicine in June 2014. Upon completing a Pedodontic Externship at Miami Children’s Hospital, she immediately knew that she wanted to make Pediatric Dentistry her career. She soon applied and was accepted into a Pediatric Dentistry residency program. Dr. Ruiz received her training in pediatric dentistry at her Alma Mater and served as Chief Resident of the Pediatric Dentistry Postdoctoral Program during her second year. Former member of the American Students Dental Association (ASDA), American Association of Women Dentists (AAWD), American Dental Education Association (ADEA), Dental School Student Council and active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Ruiz joined the PDCA team in August 2016.
Dr. Ruiz is passionate about building trusting relationships with her patients and providing positive dental experiences. She enjoys traveling, cooking, and watching movies
Lisa Antuna – Practice Manager
– Lisa was born in Covington Kentucky and relocated to Las Vegas with her family when she was very young. Lisa has worked in the medical field for over 22 years; she has extensive training in practice management. In 2005, Lisa was given the opportunity to come and work for Pediatric Dental Care Associates. Lisa has been married to her husband Dino since 1984! They have 3 beautiful children, Angelo, Autym and Nico. She enjoys staying involved with her children and their activities, training and riding sport bikes with her husband
Seriza Brinkerhoff – Dental Hygienist
– Seriza is one of the few born and raised in Las Vegas. She graduated from the College of Southern Nevada in 2008 with an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene and a Bachelor’s Degree in 2010. She has been with PDCA since 2008. Outside of work she is very active in her church, community, and professional association.
Jackie Oswald – Dental Hygienist
Jackie was born in Portland, OR and moved to Las Vegas when she was very young. She joined the PDCA family in August 2011. In May 2012, Jackie graduated from the College of Southern Nevada’s Dental Hygiene Program; she received her Bachelors of Science Degree for Dental Hygiene. Currently, Jackie is pursuing her Master’s Degree in dental hygiene. In her spare time she likes teaching Bodypump, baking and spending time with her husband, friends, and family. For activities, she enjoys hiking, reading and searching Pinterest for new creative ideas.
Natalie Mallory – Dental Assistant
I started at PDCA in May 2012 because I love working with children; they make me laugh. I never know how they may act or what they may say. It keeps us on guard every day. I get to work with great doctors and love to see how they each care deeply for the children we treat.
I have two boys that are both in college and in my spare time I love hanging with my family. My favorite thing to do is go for a long ride on my bicycle. The more I ride the happier I am.
Daevina Arrerondondo – Dental Assistant
Daevina started with the PDCA team at the Sahara office February 2012. She’s has been in the dental field for over 10 years. Daevina is originally from Mobile, Alabama but was raised in Southern California. She is married to her best friend and soul mate Jose and they have 6 beautiful children. She loves to spend time with her family camping (she says she is not afraid of bugs) and spending quiet time with the Lord!
Leah Schebler – Dental Assistant
Leah joined the PDCA team in May 2014, and has been a dental assistant for 5 years. She love working in pediatrics because it is very rewarding and fulfilling; helping children learn about good oral hygiene and taking care of their teeth. Leah enjoys spending time with friends, family, cooking and binge watching Netflix.
Jen Diaz – Dental Assistant
I started with PDCA in January 2014. I am not married yet, and I have one amazing little boy.
Carrie Sorenson – Treatment Coordinator
Carrie was born in Australia and was raised by kangaroos; she married a zookeeper and learned to wrestle alligators. She gave birth to two beautiful female koalas. She moved to the U.S. a few years ago and has gone through extensive training to humanize her again. She is also an amazing billing specialist, with 20 years of experience.
Uniqui Van – Treatment Coordinator
Uniqui started with Pediatric Dental Care Associates in July of 2013. She is a full-time employee, student and mother a “Super Woman”. She is the only girl with four brothers. Uniqui has a nine year old son who is the light of her life and he keeps her extremely busy with his school activities, pop warner football, track and field and basketball. Uniqui loves working with PDCA and its family-oriented environment; Dr. Waggoner is the best boss ever. In her spare time, Uniqui enjoys spending time with her family and close friends; going to the movies, the color purple and Apple products.
Vanessa Hernandez – New Patient Coordinator
Started working at Pediatric Dental Care Associates in July 2013. I enjoy working at our Pediatric Dental office because it’s very rewarding to see children come in with doubt/fears and leave our office with a smile, looking forward to their next Dental visit with us. I’ve been married to my high school sweet heart for 13 years; we have 4 children and 2 grandbabies. My husband and I both enjoy working with children of all ages both in our local church and Coaching Soccer.
Autym Antuna – Front Office
Autym has been with PDCA since 2007. She is our front office utility girl… that means she is a great multitasker. She graduated from beauty school and is a licensed traveling cosmetologist. Autym enjoys working with people and loves kids. In her spare time she like to eat and work out, she also enjoys hiking and just having fun and enjoying life to its fullest.
Wendy Herrera – Front Office
I’ve been in the dental field for 8 years, and started working at PDCA in April 2016. I love welcoming our patients when entering our office. I was born in Los Angeles and was raised in Lancaster California, and moved to Las Vegas in 2008. I’ve been married for 9 years and have 2 beautiful daughters 9 and 1. I enjoy spending time with them and taking them to the park, doing family activities and I really love adventures with her husband and sisters.
Ruby Chacon – Dental Assistant
Hello my name is Ruby and I’ve been a dental assistant for 15 years, and I love being a part of the PDCA dental team. I am a dental assistant that prioritizes in helping, caring and assisting in pediatric dental care. My main focus is to always deliver exceptional quality care for our patients. The beautiful smiles of happy returning patient’s keeps me motivated to continue working in this field. I am a single mother of 3; when I’m not at PDCA helping improve smiles you can always catch me singing, dancing and playing football with friends and family with my spare time!
